The Coolbaugh Township Planning Commission is made up of five members, all Township residents that serve staggered four year terms. Many of its members also serve with other volunteer organizations and committees. The commission meets with developers and land owners to examine building, subdivision and land development plans for proposed improvements and new projects throughout the Township. The Planning Commission makes recommendations that are in the best interest of the ownership to the Board of Supervisors for consideration. The Planning Department is also responsible for creating amendments to the Township Code of Ordinances (ex. Zoning & SALDO) at the discretion of the Board of Supervisors.
The Planning Commission holds meetings on the second Monday of every month at 6:30 PM in the Township Municipal Office located at 5520 Municipal Drive, Tobyhanna, PA.
