Coolbaugh Township Department of Public Works strives to provide the best possible service to the residents and visitors of Coolbaugh Township.

The operations are based out of the road department complex located at 549 Laurel Drive, Tobyhanna, PA. The regular scheduled hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm. However, during inclement weather, hours will vary depending on weather conditions.

Public Works is responsible for and maintains approximately seventy (70) miles of township roadways. They are also responsible for maintenance of township infrastructure, buildings, grounds, parks, open space areas, storm drainage.

Trash Collection
Residential trash collection is not provided by the Public Works Department. Homeowners and property owners should arrange for private trash collection.
Recycling

The Monroe County Waste Authority Blue Bins have been removed from the Coolbaugh Townships Recycling Center located at 549 Laurel Drive, Tobyhanna.

Recyclable materials can be brought to the following locations:

CORRUGATED CARDBOARD AND BOXES;
Paper: office, newspapers, magazines, junk mail, shredded paper, books, cereal boxes and the like; plastics: numbers 1 & 2, no black plastic of any number accepted; aluminum, bi-metal cans, and glass.

NO PLASTIC BAGS OR FILM.

Drop-Off Program
ROAD DEPARTMENTS COMPOST FACILITY,
located at 549 Laurel Drive, Tobyhanna,
between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m Monday through Friday. (Closed from 12:00pm-12:30pm)

Residents may deliver their un-bagged yard waste (tree limbs, leaves, plant materials, grass clippings, etc.) to the designated areas. Tree stumps are not excepted.
