Public Notice – Effective Monday March 16th, 2020 Due to ongoing public health concerns regarding the Coronavirus, Coolbaugh Township is requesting residents to refrain from visiting the Municipal Center until further notice. The Municipal Center will remain open to authorized personnel who are fully prepared and committed to conducting all regular business and serving resident needs via phone, email, and the township website – www.coolbaughtwp.org Quick Links for conducting business via our website: Online Payment for zoning permits, monthly sewer bills, park pavilion rental fees and public hearing applications https://coolbaughtwp.org/resources/online-payments/ Online Forms including permit applications https://coolbaughtwp.org/resources/forms-documents/ Staff Directory including direct phone extensions and email addresses: https://coolbaughtwp.org/contact/administration/ The Township is also establishing a drop-off location at the entrance of the Municipal Center. Residents may leave applications, payments, and other correspondence in a designated drop box. The drop-off location will be checked and emptied by staff multiple times during the business day. This service will be available after 12 pm on Monday, March 16th. The Coolbaugh Township Drop Off and Recycling Site located at 549 Laurel Drive will also be closed to the public until further notice. Midweek recycling will not be accepted. The Bulk-Drop Off event scheduled for Friday, April 3rd, 2020 and Saturday, April 4th, 2020 is cancelled. Please call the Municipal Center at 570-894-8490 with any questions or concerns. Coolbaugh Township was incorporated in 1794 and is now a Second Class Township with a population of 20,564 in the 2010 census. The Township is 88.3 square miles, or 56,512 acres, with approximately 70 miles of township roads. The Township is governed by a five member Board of Supervisors.
